As a passionate change maker and Tarot enthusiast, I love to work with people to make positive life transitions, grow spiritually, and develop creatively. I work in a collaborative intuitive way with the Tarot. As seekers and I explore the cards together both of our intuitions are stimulated and higher wisdom accessed. My approach to Tarot grows from the weaving together of the diverse strands of my life.
I have spent over 20 years of my working life supporting personal, organizational, and social change as a group facilitator, non-profit manager, community college teacher, and researcher. For nearly a decade, I worked with Spirit in Action, a non-profit dedicated to bringing spirit into activism, healing divisions between people and groups, fostering positive vision, and promoting action for deep and lasting change. I hold a Masters of Science in Management from Antioch New England.
My spiritual background includes an ecumenical Christian upbringing. As a young adult, I moved away from organized religion, devoting myself to political activism. When that always strong longing for a mystical connection to something greater than myself resurfaced, I studied meditation, energy work, yoga, the world’s wisdom traditions, Celtic spirituality, and in particular depth, the Tarot.
I discovered the Tarot in 1994 and have devoted myself to it as one of the most enjoyable, creative, effective, and spirit-infused of any change making tool. I have studied in-person with renowned Tarot teachers Rachel Pollack and Mary Greer as well as attended international conferences such as The Tarot School’s Readers Studio. In addition to working one-on-one with seekers, I recently have led meditation sessions at Readers Studios; taught and co-facilitated Tarot classes and groups at Awen Tree in Easthampton, MA and at Groundings in Florence, MA ; and been a guest teacher on the Gaian Tarot Circle. I am a co-founder of the Massachusetts Tarot Society and a member of the American Tarot Association, whose Code of Ethics I work to uphold.
In 2012, I created Journey into the Tarot to share the 22 guided-visualization meditations I created inspired by the 22 Major Arcana cards.
I was featured on the cover of the Valley Advocate in June 2012 in a story entitled Tarot Unplugged.
I am a graduate of the Spiritual Life Center’s Spiritual Direction Program. I continue to receive on-going training and professional supervision to develop my capacities as a spiritual guide and my own spiritual practice.
I exercise my creativity most deeply through writing poetry where my themes are often the beauty and mystery of the cosmos. You can check out some poems here.
